Honestly have to disagree with you mat on the point about HD. Myself as well as hundreds to thousands of people do play old school for the nostalgia as well as graphics being a huge part of that. If they released hd and it wasnt toggleable as he stated i genuinely wouldnt want to play anymore

I think Mat brings up a good point about eoc being a good thing. Also, in my opinion, by the time eoc was being talked about, rs2 was at a tipping point with power creep that couldn't have lasted much longer without an overhaul of the combat system. With things like chaotic weapons and ganodermic armor they had sort of painted themselves into a corner.

I wonder how he feels about his comments about osrs peaking considering we just hit new records with the release of leagues 3 years after this interview. Have the passing of sailing and all the content that have come out since changed his mind at all?

I got a big problem with a higher up within a company saying that it doesn't matter if people hack/bot/bug abuse aslong they put the money towards good use. Especially if you the one who judges on that, how is retirement, no longer needing to work better than helping others?!? You actually already better than 95% out there because you don't let yourself waste away trying to help others. And exactly into this problem you get because at the end of the discusion, you can't judge about someone else, period. It should be black or white, bot? get banned. And this is the reason why jagex games wil forever be botted. (I know hes gone but nothing changes, did he get this believe from jagex? or did jagex get it from him? the latter is not likely since he whasn't there when it was already going on back in the day.)

I really like Mod Ash. Super cool guy. And damn he’s been there since DAY ONE! But Mr. Interviewer…. I don’t think you did a bad job. No, not at all. But a couple things stood out to me. Firstly, you need to engage a little more with whomever you’re interviewing. It’s great to remain quiet and let them talk, but somebody like Ash tends to ramble. It’s your job to wrangle him back on topic. An experienced and talented interviewer can do this without them even noticing. Believe it or not but Late Night talk show hosts are great examples, like Jack Parr, Carson, Conan, Leno, etc. Also…. I’m sure you were pretty nervous, especially in the beginning, but don’t laugh at everything your guest says. You’ll see Fallon does this; and he’s now become a joke because of it.

PLEASE GIVE US MORE IF POSSIBEL! Re-talk to some people, this is the most wholesome rs content I have watched and is super interesting to listen to during my grinds. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! Thanks for the content Shauny!
